CNCM Regional Math Tournament at TMSA

CNCM Regional Math Tournament (CRMT) is a competition hosted by CNCM at Triangle Math and Science Academy. Competitors must create a team of 4; teams of members from different schools are allowed. CRMT is structured to prepare competitors for Duke Math Meet, ARML, and many other math competitions. The competition consists of 4 scored rounds and a non-scored round:

  • Individual Round: consists of 10 problems to be solved individually by each team member
  • Team Round: all team members collaborate to solve a set of 10 difficult problems
  • Power Round: all team members collaborate to create proofs
  • Relay Round: team members are not allowed to collaborate, answers are passed from player one
  • Blitz Round: teams must solve 5 problems collaboratively (non-scored round, for fun)

The competition took place from 9:00 - 3:00 on October 26th, 2019, and it cost $10 for each competitor. Food, snacks, and t-shirts will be provided to every competitor. Registration will end on October 19th. However, if you register after October 11th, you will not receive a t-shirt at the competition.
